Influenster Latina Beauty VoxBox

I can't tell you how excited I was when I found out I was getting a voxbox from Influenster. Adrian thought I won the lottery or something when I started bouncing up and down in bed. When I explained to him what it was, he rolled his eyes and went back to watching Sportscenter on his computer. So of course I shook him and said, " YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. IIIII WAS CHOSEN."

Because I'm extremely awesome and cool (riiiight). It's kind of like being the first one picked in PE, except lots of people were picked and this is way better because I get free stuff. So anyway, the second I opened my mailbox and found this sitting there, I pulled it out and immediately started ripping through the box.

List of products:
  1. Veet Ready-To-Use Wax Strips
  2. Always Radiant Infinity Pads and Kit (one for me, one for a friend!)
  3. NYC Liquid Lip Shine - Nude York City
  4. Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen
  5. Bath and Body Works Shower Gel - Paris Amour
So here's the scoop: I liked/used 3 out of the 6 items in this box. Thanks to the lovely benefits of nursing (and probably the IUD), aunt flow has not visited since April 2011. Awesome, right? Anyway, that means I cannot physically review the two Tampax products, but I'll be handing them over to my sister friend.

The lip shine is the bomb: tastes good and has a pretty shine with just a hint of color. I'm actually quite obsessed. So obsessed, in fact, that it encouraged me to take silly photos of myself wearing it. This is the only one that made the cut...

The Veet strips, on the other hand, waaaan waaaan waaaaaaan...is all I have to say about that. I was most excited about this product and planned to use these right before my Napa trip. I waited and waited for my hair to grow up (disgusting, by the way), woke up Thursday morning and smoothed the strip onto my leg.

RRrrrriiip! After muttering a few obscenities, I glanced down with a grand feeling of satisfaction only to be disappointed. Tons of little hairs where they should not have been. After trying five more times, I gave up. To Veet's defense, the hairs that were actually pulled are coming back at a turtle's pace, but it just wasn't worth it to finish.

The Hawaiian Tropic SPF smells delicious and also serves as a great moisturizer. I'm not very good about putting on SPF so this is an easy way to get a double whammy, smooth and protected skin. The shower gel smells delicious and I could definitely see myself buying it in full version.

Have you tried any of these items on your own?
Would you want to?

I received this product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
